ABOUT J9

J9 was a nickname for Sonya’s late sister Jeanine, and the bar is in memory of her and Sonya’s parents. Her Dad bought this building in 1975 and her family watched the neighborhood change over the past 40 years. Watching the area change, Sonya longed for a neighborhood wine bar that she could meet friends for conversation and a good glass of wine. We at J9 strive to be that place for our neighbors and their visitors.
